But before we get stuck in let me introduce you to our friends over at Modemobile. The First Disruption to $martphones In 15 Years š¤³
Tech Start-up With Traction: Turn your phone from a cost to an income source. Intriguing idea, isn't it? This is why, we have our eyes on the launch of Mode Mobileās Pre-IPO Offering. Itās the latest in a series of impressive raises among smartphone innovators, likely spurred by Appleās recent $3+ trillion valuation.
Mode saw 150x revenue growth from 2019 to 2022, a leap that has made them one of Americaās fastest growing companies. Mode is on a mission to disrupt the entire industry with their "EarnPhone," a budget smartphone thatās helped consumers earn and save $150M+ for activities like listening to music, playing games, and ...even charging their devices?!
Over 10,000 investors already acquired shares ā and with only days remaining prior to their closing update, allocations are limited.

Taylor Swiftās $2.2B Eras Tour & How You Can Profit From It: Sheās A Goddamn Force Of Nature In The Financial World š°
Teenage girls love her. I love her. And what do teenage girls and I have in commonā¦ā¦thatās right weāre all incredible social arbitrage investors. š
Well kind of - what they spend on, we invest in. But theyāre fickle beasts and hard to understand so the big movements are the easiestā¦ā¦.enter, Taylor Swift.
- *mutters karma is my boyfriend as I irresponsibly load up my portfolio with what a wealth manager would only describe as āan irresponsible tolerance for risk.ā š
- Luckily, at Renaissance we know what weāre doing and weāll be damned if weāre gonna take 7% a year and pay some assholeās management fees! And weāre here to teach you too - hold my beer! šŗ
- Teenage girls are interesting for many reasons (donāt worry we havenāt taken some sort of Epstein-like turn hereā¦), mostly because they consolidate a consumer and retail product or trendās popularity in our weird society like nothing else. Theyāre like locusts; they just consume something in numbers until itās onto the next.
- And when you see $2.2B being spent by them you act ā¦swiftly. š
- If Taylor wears something, does something, says something about a brand these girls are gonna lose their fucking minds and they will. buy . it. So guess whoās paying attention to the Eras tour for research purposes, Renaissance!
- FACT: Not once, but twice, Taylor was seen wearing 2 different pairs of skorts by the brand Free People during the Eras tour. 2 pairs, 1 trip, 1 tour, 1 brand = more than coincidence. This results in influence. š„š„š„
- But what is the big trend that teenage girls are all over atm? Being Horse girls, aka coastal cowgirls š¤ boots, glitter, and cowboy hats for no reasonā¦ itās āa vibeā. And Taylor has made this popular on this tour as well!
- This is the pulse of the market right now.š This trend has almost 400M hashtags on TikTok - we told you, they donāt fuck around!
- So, wtf are we supposed to do with all this random teenage girl information? Let me tell you about a little company called Urban Outfittersā¦..the stocks been slaughtered over the years but theyāve made a push to attract the younger demographic latelyā¦ā¦.and if you love pointless shit that costs a lot they also own Anthropologie!
- However, there is a third brand. A smaller brand. A secret brand. That Urban Outfitters also own - Free People.š¤© and this brand is smack bang in the eye of the hurricane of this tourās style trend.
- Donāt ask us how we know this okay, but in teen vogue ā of all outfit items suggested for this cowgirl bullshit was owned by Urban Outfitters.
- Free People out there making bangers selling out all the extra small skorts, but meanwhile Urban Outfitters the parent aināt doing so good! So what do we do when the trend is not in a standalone stock?
- Shit people know theyāre shit and Wall Street will have priced Urban appropriately so they won't do any worse than expected. So downside risk is limited.
- Anthropologie has had a good year it seems, this is 46% of the wider org and itās also a multi-purchase store unlike the others which has a compounding effect on the numbers when they do well! And social traffic is looking good to the sites. š¤
- And lastly, the smaller partner Free People will crushhhh it. The alpha is ā” - buy the stock or options for a Company reporting increased sales from ā of itās divisions thatās being masked by Urban Outfitters general performance and idea of its brand. š„š„š„ Do your own DD but this is an ongoing trend up for grabs!

FTX basically has to start offloading to cover repayments and pay for olā Sammyās bail etc.. So assets on the books are getting moved and people think itās going to move the market and as such are frightenedā¦ā¦ā¦Renaissance readers, weāve got you, hereās how itās really going down if youāve got half a brain cell! š¤Æ
- FTXās BTC and ETH holdings make up less than 1% of the weekly market volume - i.e. it doesnāt mean jack shit. š©
- SOL and the other bag of alt treats all have to be sold periodically and will be trickled into the volume over time, having no effectttt. Donāt sell your alts and lose moreeee money cause of FTX and idiotās reports!
- Youāll learn everything you need to from a basic chart and common sense instead of news media outlets - thatās why you have Renaissance.
Speaking of alts: weāve been tradingā¦and itās gone $FINE š
From last week talking about MEVs and using it to fit the trading strategy that we like here at Renaissance, we used a mix of our own MEV and other tools to smash some early meme narrative plays!
- Guys, hereās FINE, meme powered and rumoured to be launched by a PEPE dev. We picked it up 48hrs before any social signals elsewhere with our MEV because we know what to look for - meme power, good supply and liquidity power. This is how tools and technical ability with strategy outperforms the normies in the market - traditional finance bros canāt pull this off. š
- Itās done well over 4X since the spot. This strategy isnāt hard if you apply what we teach you here! P.S. FINE may still be good for another leg up itās pushed past $12M market cap. ššš
- Then we caught BANANA using the social signals and stats we look for after new launches - another easy meme play to spot that did a stellar job marketing. This may still have room to run as well!
- Another meme play we caught through a mix of MEVs we use was SHREK - if youāre an early alt-coin investor and you seen Shrek, how could you not invest? This is the same strategy and same story on repeat, executed 3 times in one week for total returns possible in the 100x plus range. š„µš„µš„µ
What weāre currently looking at:
- SONICBOT (another bot play in the same narrative as a few weeks prior and already done 117%) thisāll be good to play out!
- $OCD is really interesting as well and just pushed a $6M market cap. If things break well this could really jump higher!
If youāre not getting in on this style of investing, applying the easy to find technical and social signals for massive returns in the small windows of time we have to capitalise on them - youāre missing out, take action! š
Wealth Building, Personal Finance Hacks & FAT FIRE
This week we want to talk about an increasing trend among the 1% and those advanced in the wealth building game. Whether itās because of paranoia, sensible insurance or simply something they know that we donāt.
In 2017, LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman said that he estimated over 50% of Silicon Valley billionaires already had purchased and planned some kind of apocalypse insurance, like a bunker, or overseas escape.
Adding to this - in 2016, Sam Altman, one of the Valleyās top entrepreneurs, let slip that he had an arrangement with Peter Thiel that in some kind of systemic collapse scenario they would both get on a private jet and fly to a property Thiel owns in New Zealand (a property that up until then was previously unknown to the public).
View from Thielās New Zealand getaway
The more you look into it, the more you see how widespread this thinking is among billionaires. New Zealand being the hotspot for these guys prepping for some kind of societal collapse due to how self-sufficient and isolated it is - it has itās own energy, water and food.
Hoffman has also said that in his circles āsaying youāre ābuying a house in New Zealandā is kind of a wink, wink, say no moreā. š
The Doomsday Clock š - A clock set by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists (BAS), measures how close we are to complete annihilation from man-made actions. It is currently 90 seconds to midnight, the closest it has ever been.
It was previously at itās closest during the peak of the Cold War, before settling back for a few decades, before moving closer again and reaching 2 minutes to midnight amongst the election of Donald Trump and increasing nuclear tensions.
New Zealand have even said they seen a 17x increase in registrations of US nationals applying for New Zealand residency the week after Trump was elected.
The Valley loves this doomsday stuff. Another unnamed venture capitalist said he has a 'go bag' filled with guns on a motorbike waiting in his garage. Learning to ride a motorbike is a popular one in these circles, the idea being that in a catastrophe traffic will be gridlocked and you need to be able to get out. š
In the event of an emergency he will speed through all this traffic to a private jet, and fly to Nevada where another plane is waiting in a hangar. That aircraft is ready and waiting to take him and four other tech moguls to, you guessed itā¦ā¦.New Zealand.
Other discussions shared at these dinner parties are around nuanced details. It was noted that the pilot whoās flying you to safety wonāt be incentivised unless his family can come and be saved too. Rooms for the pilot and his family it is then!
I mean these guys are really thinking about this stuff. Not just thinking about it, but setting actions in place. May explain why all these tech bros are jacked survivalist alphas all of a sudden. š
Thereās a really interesting book on this topic: āSurvival of the Richestā by Douglas Rushkoff.
The worldās richest are increasingly āinsulating themselves from the very real and present danger of climate change, rising sea levels, mass migrations, global pandemics, nativist panic, and resource depletion,ā writes Rushkoff.
But theyāre not all going quite as far as New Zealand. In NZ youāre isolated above ground, but some are staying closer to home and going underground. Texas company Rising S is a popular one and sells luxury underground bunkers that run up to $9.6 million. https://risingsbunkers.com/layouts-pricing-bunkers/luxury-series-bunker-complexes-aristocrat/
So whatās the lesson - learn to ride a motorcycle and become a pilot for a billionaire. š
Maybe the ultra-wealthy know something we donāt? Do they have access to superior information? Or is this just a reasonable decision to protect against risk? A catastrophic event and societal collapse may not be seen as likely, may even be seen as very unlikely, but in the case it happens the downside risks are huge. If you are ultra-wealthy doesnāt it then make sense to allocate some of this capital to protect against this risk?
ā” Either way, we here at Renaissance will be looking for properties in New Zealand š. A decent investment, both for land appreciation and as catastrophe insurance.
Hope to see you there, chilling with the tech entrepreneurs in one of the worldās most beautiful countries, waiting for all this to blow over.
