- The debt ceiling fiasco is still going on and we’re getting pretttyyyyy close to the June deadline. Between this and inflation, I may as well use George Washington to wipe my ass clean!

- The UAE’s Royal Group now has billions of dollars in short positions against US stocks!

- They’re all in on short-term US Treasuries, commodities and Crypto (we loveeeee a short position here at Renaissance, and we’ve never ever been wrong on one👀…..the Middle East is pretty good at them too I guess)

- Institutions have been selling off US stocks month over month and that isn’t slowing down - advantage, China. 🤲

- More trade is being agreed with China without the use of the dollar. And while US stocks are getting dunked, Chinese stocks are getting bought!📈

- Michael Burry (our patron saint of Big Shorts 🙏) just declared his latest picks and Chinese stocks are now his two largest holdings! (He also spent $37M buying banks stocks, the ultimate risk-on contrarian investor 🏦)

TLDR: Renaissance will nottttt be buying banks, but Crypto and Chinese stocks instead. We’ll be running these out for 90 days plus. The safer smart play right now!

- The judge denied the SEC motion to seal the Hinman docs - basically the pigs at the SEC tried to seal the internal emails, text messages and expert reports! They claimed that the SEC’s mission outweighed the “public’s right” to access documents that have “no relevance”.

- It’s another win for transparency against centralised law enforcement that have no idea what they’re talking about……I can’t wait to read those emailssss.

TLDR; It’s all looking positive for XRP, and the price is surging on good news. If they win, the price of XRP will rip! This is a calculated risk, but the downside loss is understood and capped compared to the gain. Invest what you can afford to lose on this one but it’s an open opportunity. And remember…

PEPE

- Are you feeling…..peppish?? History time. After $SHIB first launched and went parabolic, it dropped and sank for 14 straight daysss and nightsss.

- THEN. Its market cap jumped from 3 Billion to 50 Billion! PEPE is on day 14 now. Here at Renaissance we’re a sucker for a historical chart, and PEPE is no different. This is a good long!

- The upside now after the consolidation is a good risk/reward play, volatility has been shaken out and holders are increasing. Keep your eye on that chart! 👁👁

PSYOP

Here’s a tale of how @eth_ben, a small time NFT influencer, raised $7M in 72hours with a single tweet, no contract or product, and no marketing…

- He was fairly under the radar before. He then used the leverage of PEPE engagement to end up with a boosted following of over 40,000 people.

- Then one day he just sent the presale tweet and asked for money……now there’s over 4 million tweets talking about PSYOP!

- And people flooded his account with millions of dollars straight to his Metamask 🤯

- Now Andrew tate has made a personal video about PSYOP…he got PSYOPPED. And it’s only adding fuel to the fire.

Hot take - Ben might be one of the best Web3 marketers and founders we’ll see this year.

- The PSYOP token is about to launch this week, and he’s even engaged Andrew Tate to talk about it now somehow. Call it stupid…moronic…illegal even, but it captures the sentiment and culture of memecoin season right now and that’s a powerful thing.

-  TLDR; it’s got memetic power, and when it launches it could explode or absolutely flop due to the extended presale or rug (who’s left to buy/greater fool theory).

But here at Renaissance we would treat it like an IPO and avoid the initial 24 hours of trading, watching its volume and price. We definitely do nottttt send Eth to random wallets!

Straddle the trade, buy some $PSYOP and hedge it with $FKBEN (another token made in response to PSYOP, against Ben), this way you can trade this unusual setup profitably either direction! 💰

But history would suggest PSYOP will spike hard and then drop (although the greatest psyop of all would be if Ben actually owned FKBEN as well……..I don’t know what to believe anymore).

This is the start of an interesting Crypto saga for sure………if it ever launches.👀

Wealth Building, Personal Finance Hacks & FAT FIRE

They ask me all the time man, why do you do it? Why do ya work so hard 24/7? Why are you always hunting for business opportunities & trades? Why do I write this newsletter for people just like me? I do it because we’re all on this life & wealth journey together. 🤝

If you’re here reading this, you’re probably just like the rest of us here - ambitious to a fault. Some personalities and media outlets would even call it unhealthy.

Here’s my advice to becoming the best entrepreneur you can be:

- 1. Did any balanced person you know ever achieve greatness or success?

- 2. Did working less and applying yourself to be the best bring you closer or further from your goals?

- 3. Many are called, few are chosen. Many are called to business and entrepreneurship, but you have to choose yourself. To be unreasonable and reject mediocrity!

- 4. Once you accept who you are - what you’re willing to tolerate, and understand the level of your ambition - the sooner you can operate appropriately to achieve your goals instead of being a wantrepreneur.

- 5. If you have a bad mindset or a ‘non-wealthy’ mindset, you wont work right and you won’t invest correctly.

If you never have conviction and are never able to make trades whereby the outcome could be meaningful for you - then your risk/reward bias is off and you’re driven by fear. Make the investments like the wealthier version of you would!

If you’re right, you’re closer to being your wealthy self - and that’s everything. If it flops, you were never wealthy to begin with so what true loss have you experienced?

- 6.  No matter how experienced you are, never risk it all on any one project or investment.

Stay in the game long enough to learn and win over time. Wealth building and success is a game, a lifelong one, enjoy it for all its ups and downs. You’d be surprised the times of eating shit can seem delicious in hindsight…..

- 7. Project selection is the final pillar of success: know who you are and your ambition, your ability, your surroundings, and pick your project to be a reflection of you.

- 8. There are trade-offs and sacrifices to be made, don’t regret and leave anything on the field. But if you worry about balance, fairness, excuses, risks, sorry to say it…..…

Weekly Negroni

It’s been another great week here at Renaissance. It’s time to kick back and pour ourselves a drink in front of the fire 🔥 (or a fire video on the TV)

And one of our drinks of choice, whiskey. Recently the World Whiskey Awards announced their 2023 winners so it’s perfect timing. 🥃

Guess who won the worlds best single malt? It’s not what you’d expect, and for under $100 a bottle you better jump on it!

The winner was not from one the major malt regions of Scotland, Ireland or Japan. But from…….Israel?

M&H out of Tel Aviv, Israel took the gold.🥇 

It was their Sherry Cask offering that tipped the scales and it’s the first whiskey ever to be aged in such casks from this region of Spain.

We don’t even know exactly how old it is! It has no age statement. We know M&H only started laying down liquid back in 2014, so, at the absolute oldest it’s still under a decade!

The unique climate in Israel has been credited with accelerating the cask aging, making this whiskey wayyyyyy beyond its years.
